After-School Mentor
After-School Mentor (Casual) – Sydney
Code Camp is currently looking for a After-School Mentor to support our After-School programs during the school term.
This role would suit someone available 3–4 afternoons per week, such as a university student studying education, a casual or retired teacher, or someone looking for flexible afternoon work. The Mentor plays an important role supporting our facilitators, ensuring high-quality sessions, and representing the HQ team in schools.
Key Responsibilities
Visit different Code Camp After-School venues each day as directed by HQ
Conduct venue quality checks and provide support and mentoring to After-School Facilitators
Assist staff with classroom and behaviour management (a key part of the role)
Build and maintain positive relationships with school staff, students, and parents
Represent Code Camp professionally when on-site
Provide daily updates and feedback to HQ, including observations and suggestions for improvements
Assist with basic troubleshooting (tech, WiFi, devices) and report issues back to HQ
Be adaptable – at times you may be asked to step in to cover last-minute staff absences
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Is confident in classroom and behaviour management
Is reliable, organised, and punctual
Is comfortable travelling between different school venues
Has a car and valid driver’s licence (KM reimbursement provided)
Communicates clearly and professionally
Ideally holds First Aid/CPR certification (not essential but highly regarded)
When You’ll Work
3–4 afternoons per week (Monday–Thursday)
Approx. 2:00pm – 5:00pm
School term only
There may also be opportunities to work at Code Camp holiday programs, though not in a Mentor capacity.
